Taken Alcohol or Canabis? Do Not Drive
- 0.08 blood alcohol level (BAC) is the legal limit for criminal charges in Canada.
- The minimum mandatory fine for driving a car with a 0.08 BAC is $1000.
- BAC of 0.16 or higher will result in a $2,000 fine and prison time for repeat offenders.
- 5 nanograms of Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) per 1 milliliter of blood is the absolute limit for cannabis consumption and driving.
- When cannabis and alcohol are consumed together, non-criminal levels fall to 0.05 BAC and 2.5 nanograms of THC.
In Canada, at least 2,200 people die each year in car accidents, 55% of those due to impaired driving.
If you have been drinking or taking Canabis and do not feel safe to drive, please call Our Driver. We will dispatch a team of two drivers to your pickup point and drop you home safely while our own car while the second driver follows behind to return your driver.
